Identify Strategies, Programs, or Activities

Implementing a program, activity, or strategy that is a good fit for your organization increases the likelihood that you will meet your goals.  The action(s) you take to meet your goal needs to meet some criteria:

  1. Likely to get results because of research evidence about success in meeting goals similar to yours. 
  2. A good fit with the organization’s culture and resources

What is an evidence-based program/strategy?

A science-based program has gone through independent and rigorous evaluation progress that has shown to be effective. With all science-based programs, there are strengths and limitations. Small changes can be made to increase the fit for your organization. Be sure to review materials and any adaptations carefully to ensure that they match your goals, resources, and institutional norms and values.
